Create Scoped labels
Scoped labels enable you to use the label feature to annotate issues, merge requests and epics with mutually exclusive labels. For example, you could organize your issues by development platform. Using scoped labels you could then filter these issues like this: Platform::iOS
, Platform::Android
. By ensuring each piece of work can only be labeled for a single platform, your team's work stays organized. In this example, a piece of work could only have Platform::iOS
or Platform::Android
.
Other common use cases include bug priority. You can create scoped priority label such as Priority::1
, Priority::2
, Priority::3
, Priority::4
, ensuring that any piece of work can only have one priority label at a time, keeping your team organized and on task.
