From 405db706c8c8e27040e27e3102654160bbea313b Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Paul Okstad <pokstad@gitlab.com> Date: Thu, 20 Aug 2020 00:39:53 +0000 Subject: [PATCH] Replace inconsistent backend-node term The admin docs primary use the term "Gitaly node" to refer to Gitaly servers proxied by Praefect. The term "Backend node" is used to mean the same thing. This change further aligns the docs with the term "Gitaly node". --- doc/administration/gitaly/praefect.md | 21 +++++++++++---------- 1 file changed, 11 insertions(+), 10 deletions(-) diff --git a/doc/administration/gitaly/praefect.md b/doc/administration/gitaly/praefect.md index f8ecc6bfaa1c1..2e36a754c7917 100644 --- a/doc/administration/gitaly/praefect.md +++ b/doc/administration/gitaly/praefect.md @@ -1172,7 +1172,7 @@ The source must be on a later version than the target storage. sudo /opt/gitlab/embedded/bin/praefect -config /var/opt/gitlab/praefect/config.toml reconcile -virtual <virtual-storage> -reference <up-to-date-storage> -target <outdated-storage> -f ``` -Refer to [Backend Node Recovery](#backend-node-recovery) section for more details on the `reconcile` sub-command. +Refer to [Gitaly node recovery](#gitaly-node-recovery) section for more details on the `reconcile` sub-command. ### Enable writes or accept data loss @@ -1199,14 +1199,15 @@ CAUTION: **Caution:** `accept-dataloss` causes permanent data loss by overwriting other versions of the repository.
